Grande Prairie MMA fighters win gold medals

Two local boys brought home the gold over the weekend. Grande Prairie’s Brent Auger and Shane Miller competed in the Fivestar tournament in Fort St. John.

Auger, who has three Amateur MMA title belts, picked up a gold medal in White Belt division Gi but he couldn’t quite hold his own in his NoGi match. The NoGi match was up against Miller and Auger got silver.

Miller also got gold in Advanced Brazlian Jujitsu Gi and took home bronze in Kickboxing. Over 250 athletes attended the event from all over interior BC and the Peace region.
