Grande Prairie Regional College will be hosting the 2018 CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship. Between men’s and women’s volleyball, the Wolves hosted five straight championships from 1998 to 2002, but have gone without since.
Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball Convener Fred Batley has noted the school’s rich history of hosting the event, and says they are well-supported by the local community. He also calls the GPRC Centre for Sport, Fitness and Wellness a “first-class facility.”
The Wolves women’s program won silver at nationals in 2014. The 2018 tournament will be held in GP from March 7th to 10th, 2018.
