The City of Grande Prairie’s Local Immigration Partnership Council is inviting residents to celebrate International Welcoming Week. Events are scheduled from September 10 to 16.
The week is designed to bring together new and long-term residents to create communities and spaces where everyone feels like they belong. It features a showcase of supports, services, and amenities that are available in the community.
The event line-up includes a kick-off at the Grande Prairie Museum Saturday along with games, activities, refreshments, and a workplace culture presentation. The week wraps up Friday with free public skating and open field house games.
All activities have free entry and are open to all ages unless otherwise indicated. The Grande Prairie Local Immigration Partnership says it is looking forward to the week while supporting city council’s strategic priorities of engaging relationships and an inclusive and caring community.
