The County of Grande Prairie has postponed its controlled burn along the railway tracks near Weyerhaeuser. It was supposed to start today, but the wind and rain aren’t ideal for burning grass.
Doing a controlled burn helps prevent future wildfires, along with the training for emergency personnel and wildland firefighters. A new date will be scheduled.
