RCMP seize 300 grams of cocaine plus other drug paraphernalia from a residence in Fox Creek.
On Oct. 28, with help from the Western Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, and the Fox Creek RCMP, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Fox Creek.
Police say that the multi-week investigation centered around the distribution of various substances at the community level.
As a result of a search, police seized: a sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, crossbow, more than $13,000 in Canadian and US currency, 300 grams of cocaine, 231 grams of methamphetamine, over one litre of GHB, and various amounts of ketamine, psilocybin mushrooms, suspected heroin, and other unidentified pills.
As a result of the investigation, two residents of Fox Creek, aged 45 and 34 year-old were both charged and arrested.
The 45 year-old was charged with: six counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking, three counts of possession of firearms/weapons/ammunition contrary to order, two counts of possession of weapons for dangerous purposes, and one count of possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of proceeds of crime, and failure to comply with undertaking conditions.
The 34 year-old was charged with: two counts of failure to comply with release order, and one of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking.
“Both individuals were the targets of an April 2026 drug investigation by our unit. At the time of this latest arrest, they were on active release conditions while awaiting court appearances for those prior charges,” said Sgt. Wade Oliver, Unit commander of Western Alberta District RCMP Crime Reduction Unit.
Oliver added that its deeply concerning when individuals who are already facing serious charges from a prior drug investigation choose to violate their conditions.
“Our unit remains steadfast in monitoring repeat offenders and ensuring they are held accountable to keep our communities safe.”
“Quantities of drugs such as this have an immediate and substantial impact on communities of this size. With such a variety of drugs found in one place, the RCMP reminds the public to exercise caution around recreational drug use as cross contamination can easily occur both intentionally and accidentally.”
