Driving hunger away in Grande Prairie

A tractor and trailer will be making its way through town tomorrow, as Farm Credit Canada collects donations for the local food bank.

The FCC Drive Away Hunger tour will start at the Grande Prairie office at 9:45 a.m., making stops at Grande Prairie Christian, Aspen Grove and Swanavon Schools, before reaching the Salvation Army Food Bank by 11:30. Food and cash donations can be brought to those locations ahead of time, or money can be donated online.

The goal is provide three million meals across Canada to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the program.  Since 2004, more than 22 million meals have been provided nation-wide.
