City removing overhead signs and pole structures on 116 Avenue eastbound next week

The City of Grande Prairie says that some crane work will be happening to remove an overhead sign next week on July 20th on 116 Avenue eastbound between 102 Street and 100 Street. The work will take place at night, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

During the overnight project, all eastbound lanes will be closed to permit a crane to disassemble and remove the overhead signs and pole structures. Traffic going eastbound on 116 Avenue will be sent north on 102 Street around the site. Traffic on 102 Street will be unable to turn eastbound onto 116 Avenue as this section of road will be completely closed to allow crane access.

The work is only expected to take one night. Signage has been placed in the area ahead of the change next week.
