City snow plows heading to residential areas

City of Grande Prairie snow plows will be heading into residential areas this week to clear up the more than 15 centimetres of snow that has fallen since last Thursday. Crews will be in Southview, Patterson, Country Club, Country Club West, Countryside North, Countryside South, Summerside, and Signature Falls Tuesday.

In the meantime, the city says temperatures around minus 40 degrees Celsius and reduced visibility means the only operations happened today are sanding and salting on priority routes. With warmer weather in the forecast for Tuesday, it’s expected plowing and windrow hauling on priority 1 and 2 routes will start up again and continue for the rest of the week.
