RCMP have released information on a suspect and vehicle after a young girl reported being followed after shool.
RCMP say she was on her way home from Roy Bickell School Wednesday afternoon. According to RCMP she was in the area of 105 Street when the male pulled up and offered her a ride home. The child yelled for help and rode her bike to safety.
The vehicle is described as a black, rusty, four door car with tinted back windows. The suspect is described as a Filipino or Asian man who is clean shaven. At the time of the incident RCMP say he was wearing a dark blue shirt.
As part of the investigation RCMP say they conducted “extensive patrols in the area” but were did not locate the vehicle or suspect.
St Catherine’s School sent a letter to parents Wednesday night that was also posted to the school’s Facebook. In it parents are encouraged to talk to their children about safety and what to do if approached by someone they don’t know.
