The Grande Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce awards this year recognized retired city Councillor Helen Rice. She was awarded with the Above and Beyond Award which the chamber says is given to someone “that has provided commendable community service that makes the community a better place.”
Also recognized for their long term success in business was Al’s News who received the long-term member award. Rob Petrone was awarded the chamber volunteer award and the “Business Citizen of the Year” was Devco Developments.
The awards are meant to honour business accomplishments, achivements and volunteer efforts by chamber memebers.
