GP HEAT blitz aims to help drivers protect their vehicles

Volunteers will again be hitting the streets of Grande Prairie to help drivers keep their vehicles safe. The GP Help End Auto Theft (HEAT) team will be blitzing neighbourhoods and grading drivers. They’ll check to see if car doors are locked and valuables are removed.

Other tips from GP Heat include parking in well lit, highly visible areas, using a garage if you have one available and even keeping your garage remote with you if possible. They also advise reporting any suspicious behaviour to police.

Thursday and Friday volunteers will be in residential and retail locations around town with flyers and tips for drivers. Just like before volunteers will be wearing safety vests making them easily identifiable and they won’t be touching vehicles other than to leave a flyer on each they come across.
