Today is the day that Temporary Foreign Worker permits expire for those who have been in Canada for more than four years.
Labour market analysts have estimated that the country will lose thousands of TFWs in the next few weeks and months, particularly in Alberta.
However, Citizenship and Immigration Canada has not divulged exactly how many are about to lose their work visas.
Alberta had roughly 41,000 Â temporary foreign workers at the end of 2013, and it’s estimated more than 8,000Â will be gone by July 2016.
