Automated External Defibrillators have been installed at another 20 Peace Country community and sports facilities.
Last spring, the life saving devices were added to both the Pat’s Auto and Chris McMillan rinks at the County of Grande Prairie Sportsplex, and now more can be found in the Trican Fieldhouse and Motion Fitness.
The AEDs are electronic devices used to restart a heart that has stopped beating.
Thanks to a partnership between the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Heart and Stroke Foundation, AEDs have also been installed here in Grande Prairie at the Regional Ag Society and The Showcase Centre.
