Glenmary High School opens after reports of online threats

RCMP says there is no danger to Glenmary High School after reports threats made online surfaced over the weekend. Police say they were brought to the Peace Regional detachment on November 10th and concerned the safety of staff and students.

The suspect is a 15-year-old boy who is not a student of the school. He has since been arrested and is facing a charge of uttering threats.

“Safety of staff and students at local schools remains a priority for Peace Regional RCMP,” says Sergeant Dave Browne. “Threats of any nature are taken seriously and RCMP will take immediate action to ensure the safety of the public.”

The school opened as usual Tuesday. No further details on the nature of the threats or where they were posted have been released.
