RCMP say they are looking for a black truck after a hit and run near The Crown and Anchor Wednesday night. The vehicle is described as an older model Ford.
A woman was taken to hospital in critical condition after witnesses to the crash found her lying in a snowbank. Those same witnesses told RCMP they saw a black track “swerving in the road” before they located the victim.
Pieces of the vehicle were found at the scene which RCMP say indicates the vehicle will have visible damage to the front end. The crash happened between 87 Avenue and 88 Avenue on 100 Street.
Police say they are actively investigating and are encouraging the driver to come forward and report the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact Grande Prairie RCMP.
