Feedback needed on new playgrounds

The City of Grande Prairie is replacing two playgrounds this year and is looking for public input.

The senior playground in Muskoseepi Park has reached the end of its life cycle. It was originally built in 1998 for children aged five to 12 years old.

The John McAuley Park Playground in Mission Heights is also 20 years old and no longer usable. It’s designed for ages 18 months to 12 years old, and is located along 106 Street between 81 and 82 Avenue.

Grande Prairie residents can have a say in the theme of both parks through two polls on the city’s website. They can choose between modern designs with high tech-looking equipment, traditional designs with slides, climbers and decks, and natural designs with rocks, ropes and logs.
