Curtis says he is excited to serve the citizens of Grande Prairie and his focus will continue to focus on the campaign for the new hospital.

“For the next few years and until the new hospital gets open. After that, I am sure there will be another strategic planning session where we come together with the board and community to decide what we need to do next to support the hospital and community.”

He has had his hand is raising funds for the campaign as well as other projects for the hospital.

“The NICU unit was one of the big ones for us. At that time, I was with the Keg and we built a parental hospice unit.”

He says this unit allowed families to be together when their children were going through intensive care.

Curtis takes over the position after Cindy Park resigned in June 2017. She will stay on the board as a volunteer.
