RCMP believe a pair of fires in Elmworth Saturday were set on purpose. Firefighters and officers from Beaverlodge were called to a home in the hamlet just before 3:45 a.m. on June 24th.
Police say the first fire was started in a shed, and the second in a large quonset hut away from the home. A large amount of personal items were damaged, but the owner was able to get out of their house safely.
An investigation so far has led RCMP to consider the fires to be arson, and they are asking anyone with information to contact the Beaverlodge detachment or Crime Stoppers.
