The third annual Try It Day is set to take place June 3rd, 2017 around the region. With 23 sports for children to try, the free day is for ages 6 to 12 years old.
Cheerleading, the Flo Rider at the Eastlink Centre and Parkour are all included in the days choices for activities.
Grande Prairie Sport Council Executive Director Karna Germsheid says although things do fill up, there are still many spaces left to fill.
“There are 462 children registered so far with over 1,000 spots available. Each kid can choose up to two sports to try.”
The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at facilities around the city and county like the Eastlink Centre, GP Gymnastics Centre, Coca-Cola Centre and Macklin Field.
Registration is available on the GP Sport Council website.
