The boil water advisory in Beaverlodge could be lifted by Wednesday. The Town says the flushing of its water distribution system should be done by Tuesday afternoon. Staff say they’re hopeful at that point Alberta Health Services can provide further direction.
Residents have had to boil their water since last Tuesday when mud or sludge got into the water treatment plant. Since then, packs of water bottles have been handed out, and more will be available today from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the town hall.
Tap water is still not okay to use for drinking, cooking, brushing your teeth or giving to your pets. You can shower in it and use it once boiled.
