Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Grande Prairie and area which includes Beaverlodge and Valleyview.
They say conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms which could produce damaging wind gusts, damaging hail and heavy rain.
These storm systems are expected to develop into the evening.
