Accused drug trafficker skips out on trial

A man charged with cocaine trafficking was a no-show at his trial last week. Then-24 year old Timothy Collicutt was arrested last December, after he was pulled over on 100th Street and officers reportedly found 27 grams of cocaine in his vehicle. He was also wanted on nine outstanding warrants at the time.

Earlier this year, he plead not guilty to possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking along with failure to comply, and obstruction. A trial was set for last Thursday, and a warrant was issued for his arrest when he didn’t appear.

According to a PEI newspaper, Collicutt was also recently in trouble in that province. Back in March he was sentenced to 30 days in jail for two counts of breaching a court order.
