There will be a few road and bridge maintenance projects beginning this week in the County of Grande Prairie. There will be single lane traffic on the Township Road 742 between Range Road 62 and 63 starting today for bridge maintenance. This project is set to be complete by the middle of July.
Paving, grading and basing work will begin Tuesday on Township Road 710 from Range Road 114 north west to Range Road 120 North. Work on this portion of road is set to be complete by later in July.
Also on Tuesday, microsurfacing work will begin in a few residential neighborhoods including Eastland Acres, Heritage Point, Sunrise and Willowood Estates. These neighbourhoods should be complete by mid-July.
There is also a road closure from Township Road 730 from Range Road 43 to east of Range Road 44 starting today. This is for repair on a damaged culvert. The closure will last for about a week. There is a detour using Range Road 41 and 44.
All road projects and bridge repairs are weather dependent. The County would like anyone driving in these areas to obey all signs, flag people, and speed limits.
