The Grande Prairie Stompede tarp auction brought in nearly $64,000 less than it did a year ago. $180,000 was bid, down from $243,800 in 2015.
The highest bid Thursday went to Mulhurst Bay’s Chad Harden for $10,750. Defending Grande Prairie champion Obrey Motowlyo followed him with $7,500.
The final canvas auction for the 2016 season will be held in Ponoka on May 6th and then the Pro Tour will kick off at Evergreen Park on May 25th.
