“Our enrolment numbers are already confirming the urgent need for this training in Grande Prairie. This centre, along with future planned developments, showcases our commitment to Alberta’s signature industries and our students who will go on to be significant contributors in our communities.”
Alberta Premier, Danielle Smith says northern Alberta continues to grow and she is hopeful the opportunities will continue throughout the region.
“Northern Alberta is growing and the opportunities here are real. By investing in trades training in Grande Prairie, we’re making sure young people don’t have to leave home to build a good career, and that the businesses driving this region forward have the skilled workers they need for the future.”
To make the facility possible, NWP made a $29M institutional investment.
The Centre will provide students with modern, industry-aligned training environments that is designed to support hands-on learning and prepare the next generation.
