County of Grande Prairie have announced two-day event for it’s 75th anniversary, in August.
The county says on August 21 and 22, they will be hosting a live performance from Brett Kissel, along with family activities, a local market, and interactive experiences for all ages.
After Kissel’s performance, the county says the first-ever drone light show for the Peace Region will be taking place.
“For 75 years, the County of Grande Prairie has been built by the people who live, work and invest in our community,” says Reeve Amanda McDonald. “This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on our shared history, celebrate how far we’ve come, and look ahead to an exciting future. We invite everyone to join us for this special milestone and experience everything the event has to offer.”
During the event, families will also enjoy plenty of activities, including the Touch-a-Tractor experience, car show, the Family Fun Zone, roaming puppet entertainment, the CN Mini Train, food trucks, and the opportunity to explore County equipment and fire trucks up close.
On the morning of the 22nd, there will be a free pancake breakfast as well.
The free event will be taking place at Evergreen Park.
