KidSport looking for gently-used equipment for month-long fundraiser

KidSport Peace Country is encouraging the community to donate unused sports equipment through their month-long equipment drive.

KidSport says through July 2nd, to August 2nd, they will be hosting a city-wide sports equipment drive. During the fundraiser, KidSport is encouraging for donations of gently-used sports equipment, and bicycles of all types and sizes.

Organizers have set up multiple accessible drop-off locations across the region. Organizers say whether it is hockey equipment, soccer gear, baseball gloves, or bicycles, all gently-used items are welcome and will be inspected, safely refurbished, and distributed directly to youth in need.

The fundraiser will directly impact Sport Central, and KidSport families, as they work towards their goal of breaking down the financial barriers to sport participation for kids.

Some of the drop-off locations include; Canadian Tire, the Westgate Boston Pizza, and the Fountain Tire in Whispering Ridge.

More information about what equipment will be accepted, can be found on the Sport Central website.
