Disruptions expected as construction on 84 Avenue in Clairmont kicks off

Construction on 84 Avenue (Bauman Drive), east of Highway 2 in the Hamlet of Clairmont, to begin Tuesday.

During construction, traffic will be accommodated. However, drivers should expect intermittent lane closures that will significantly impact travel on: Highway 2 southbound turning lane, 84 Avenue in both directions, and 99 Street southbound.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and plan alternate routes. Drivers are also reminded to follow all posted signage, obey flagging personnel, and expect delays and increased traffic volumes while work is underway.

During construction, crews will be completing asphalt repairs, including milling and paving, to improve the condition of the roadway.

The work is expected to be completed in approximately one week, weather permitting.
