RCMP have charged a 26-year-old Fairview man with dangerous driving following two incidents.
Fairview RCMP said that on Oct. 28 officers approached a vehicle stopped on a rural road and found the driver allegedly asleep at the wheel. Police said the man woke up, spoke with officers and then fled the scene.
On Nov. 13, officers responded to a dangerous-driving complaint. Police located the suspect vehicle at a store and arrested the driver, who they confirmed was the same individual involved in the earlier incident. Officers also seized meth, fentanyl, a significant quantity of GHB, $10,000 in cash and stolen property.
The man is facing charges that include impaired driving, possession of property obtained by crime and several drug-related offences.
