ATB Financial CEO Dave Mowat will join Beaverlodge mayor Leona Hanson in Grande Prairie next week to connect with residents on the ongoing review of the oil and gas royalty system. Mowat is the chair of the royalty review panel, with Hanson named a member last month.
They’ll be speaking at a paid lunch put on by the Chamber of Commerce at the Pomeroy Hotel on September 15th, followed by a free community session. That will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at Centre 2000. The open house style event will be a chance for GP to learn more about the process, as well as to let the panel members know their thoughts.
A report is due back to the government by December. Premier Rachel Notley has said no changes will come into effect before 2017.
