Frost advisory issued for Grande Prairie region

Get those plants inside. A frost advisory has been issued for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, and Valleyview areas. Environment Canada issued the advisory after forecasting temperatures will be near or below zero degrees Celsius Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Experts suggest to cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas, and to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
