Harvest Festival cancelled due to air quality

The Harvest Festival planned for Saturday afternoon has been cancelled due to poor air quality from wildfire smoke. The City of Grande Prairie announced the cancellation Saturday morning, citing current and forecasted elevated air quality outside of safe conditions.

The event was slated to run 12 to 5 p.m. in Muskoseepi Park with live music, spirit and wine tasting, a pie eating contest, hobby horse racing, fall-themed games and activities, bouncy castles, a petting zoo, and cultural dancing.
