City announces Canada Day entertainment line up

The City of Grande Prairie is counting down to its Canada Day celebration by announcing the entertainment lineup.

On July 1st, Elder Theresa Gladue will sing O Canada in Cree at the Muskoseepi park amphitheatre at 3:30 p.m. after the city’s Canada Day parade. Following that. Hailey Benedict, The Northbloods, Brent Boivin Band, TJ Ruckus, and a handful of Indigenous performance groups will take the stage.

Mayor Jackie Clayton says the live entertainment is one of the many parts which make the annual Canada Day festivities an accessible and enjoyable day for the Grande Prairie community.

“Residents are invited to come out and enjoy everything the City has to offer on Canada Day, including the high caliber live music performances from both Canadian and local artists,” Clayton says.
