There has been a recent rash of boat thefts in the Grande Prairie area, prompting RCMP to issue a warned to both owners and potential buyers. Police say they are investigating a number of stolen aluminum boats.
Owners are recommended to have a photograph, Vehicle Identification Number, and possible idenitifiers of your property in case it is stolen or recovered. The public is also recommended to be carefull when buy boats or other items off Kijiji or other classified websites.
