The Eastlink Centre is acting as inspiration for a group of engineers out of Nebraska building a similar facility. The group is in the process of designing the Nebraska Multi Sport Complex which will have 5 swimming pools, 36 tennis courts, and 13 soccer pitches.
A tour of the Eastlink Centre helped provide the group with ideas and information that they may want to implement in their own design.
All the pools at the Nebraska facility will be built using the same technology that can be found here in Grande Prairie.
The team behind the design of the Easlink Centre say they were happy to share advice about what they learned from their work in Grande Prairie and what could be done differently at similar facilities in the future.
