Gun, drugs seized following traffic stop in Grande Prairie

Two people are facing cahrges after police seized a loaded handgun, drugs and cash after searching a vehicle in the city earlier this month.

The Grande Prairie RCMP says they pulled the vehicle over near 113 Avenue and 100 Street around 9:30 p.m. on November 3rd. During the traffic stop, police say a short investigation lead them to search the vehicle, and seize a loaded 9mm handgun, 60 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of meth, and approximately $6,100 in cash.

49-year-old Twila Letendre of Grande Prairie, and 34 year old Travis Stout of Edmonton are facing several charges, including possession of a controlled substance for trafficking, possession of a restricted firearm, and careless use of a firearm.
