The Grande Prairie Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 99th Avenue and 97th Street in response to a dumpster fire behind the RBC in downtown GP.Â
The County of Grande Prairie has issued a fire advisory for the entire county, including the towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Wembley, effective April 15th, until further notice.Â
The Grande Prairie Police Service's newly established Community Standards Unit and the Grande Prairie Fire Department worked together to board up a vacant home that was posing safety concerns to the community.Â
The City of Grande Prairie has approved a project that will allow for a new Integrated Emergency Dispatching Centre, which will operate out of the City on 99 building in downtown GP.Â

The County of Grande Prairie has reduced the Kiskatinaw River wildfire evacuation area, allowing those who live east of Range Road 132 to Range Road 130 between Township Road 710 and Township Road 740 to return home.
