Rotary Dream Home draw date moved up after sell out

After selling out early for another year, the Rotary Dream Home Lottery has gotten approval to move up its draw date to June 1st.

In its most successful year ever, tickets for the lottery sold out by 1 p.m. Monday, the day after the draw for the sold out 50/50 was done. Grade 3 Derek Taylor teacher Donlea Holman was the winner of $175,000, half of what Raffle Manager Kevin Hilgers calls the largest 50/50 draw in the north.

All funds raised by the lottery go towards Rotary projects in the community, including a Rotary Wellness Centre in the new hospital. The draw will be done Monday at 7 p.m. in the Dream Home.
