Highway 40 is closed in both directions due to a multi-vehicle collision that took place about 15 kilometers north of Township Road 690 involving an 18-wheeler.
As of 6:25 P.M., Highway 40 shut down in both directions about 2 kilometers south of the Wapiti River Bridge.
Crews are at the scene and you should expect major delays. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
