Canadian Tire is taking over the leases of 12 former Target locations, but not the one in Grande Prairie.
In total, the company is picking up roughly 400,000 square feet of retail space, at a cost of $17.7Â million . The deal still needs to be approved by the court-appointed trustee monitoring Target’s closures in Canada.
The local store officially shuttered on April 8th. No word yet on what’s going into that space in the Prairie Mall.
