The films have been selected and the packages curated, and with that the 8th Annual Reel Shorts Film Festival is ready to get underway tomorrow.
Organizer Terry Scerback says from small beginnings of 38 films in three days, this year year will be a banner year with 108 films screening over 6 days at three different venues.
“For attendance of short film festivals, our attendance- as you can imagine with 2000 students coming we’ll probably hit 4000, conceivably – that’s actually getting to be relatively large as festivals go, for attendance.”
Scerback says this will also be the first year that it will be impossible for festival goers to see every single film.
There are 20 packages in total, screening at the Grande Prairie Live Theatre, the Douglas J Cardinal Theatre, and at the Collins Recital Hall at the GPRC.
