Citizens help RCMP arrest violent man

Grande Prairie RCMP is looking to thank three men that helped a police officer arrest a suspected impaired driver Friday morning.

The man was found sleeping in his vehicle outside the Westpointe Fas Gas around 7:45 a.m. and it’s believed he had been in control of the vehicle while under the influence, and was in possession of cocaine and meth.

When an officer tried to arrest him, he reportedly resisted, and three bystanders helped get him into custody.

They left the scene before police could speak with them, and are being asked to come forward to be thanked.

25 year old Tyler Joseph Meagher is facing several charges.
