The Town of Fairview has a new family doctor.
Doctor Andrew Irianan arrived last month and has taken up practice at the Fairview Medical Clinic and Health Complex.
He most recently practiced in the UK and before that worked in a rural setting in Nigeria, where he is originally from.
Irianan says he’s looking forward to working in a rural area again, as he likes hands-on work and getting to know his patients.
He adds he plans to stay long-term.

Alberta Health Services is still working on recruiting at least two more general practitioners for Fairview, with help from local doctors, elected representatives and the community.
