Charges have been laid against a Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation member in connection with a fatal hit and run on the reserve nearly three months ago.
A 22 year old woman was found lying in the north bound lane of 69 Road, about two kilometres south of the Calais store on October 19th, just before midnight.
Her name was not released.
At the time, RCMP suspected she was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene, and were later looking for a dark coloured pick up truck.
30 year old Darcy Gladue has now been charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident, obstructing a police officer, and driving while suspended and without insurance and registration.

He’ll be in court in Valleyview on February 5th.
