The operational review of the Eastlink Centre has begun, with the hiring of Health Systems Group as the third party appraiser.
The cost of the review is about $47,000, and it is expected to be finished near the end of February.
Community Living Director Gary Roth says they will be making recommendations to administration on how to reduce the Eastlink Centre’s $2.3 Million deficit.
First up, child care programs like Child Mind and various day camps will now be under the responsibility of the Dave Barr Arena.

Roth says it was a natural fit for Dave Barr to take over those programs, as they already run Kid’s Place, and an after school care program for Maude Clifford students.
