Regional Enforcement Services is hoping for funding to start a full time patrol unit in county parks, trails, camp grounds and green spaces.
Last summer a Peace Officer and a Bylaw Enforcement Officer were assigned to the job.
They handed out 132 warnings and 63 charges in the Dunes Recreation Area alone, for things like liquor offences and driving without a licence or registration.
Only 1 per cent of the violations occurred in areas other than the Dunes.
