Traffic stop leads to drug bust for Grande Prairie RCMP

RCMP have busted a 40 year old man and an 18 year old woman with drug possession during a traffic stop.

Police say on Wednesday around 3:30, a man with outstanding warrants was spotted driving a vehicle, which Mounties then pulled over.

A search of the vehicle revealed a significant amount of drugs, including meth, cocaine, fentanyl pills, and marijuana.

RCMP also came across cash and a set of brass knuckles.

Robert Fulk of Grande Prairie and Kayla Simms of Camrose have been charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Fulk has 10 additional charges of failing to comply, and 3 traffic related charges

Fulk has been remanded into custody and is awaiting a bail hearing.

Simms was released on $1500 dollars cash bail.

Both will appear in provincial court on December 14.
