Alberta Health Services wants people in Grande Prairie to have the pot talk. It is hosting a community conversation about cannabis Friday in the Rotary Room at the Grande Prairie Public Library.
The event is billed as a way for residents to broaden their perspective on the drug, which was legalized last fall. Cannabis Let’s Talk will be put on by addiction and mental health staff.
“Who will be facilitating conversations related to cannabis, such as what cannabis use looks like in Grande Prairie, shared cannabis experiences, and working together to promote a healthy and respectful community within cannabis laws,” AHS explains.
While the gathering is free to attend, registration is required by calling AHS Addiction and Mental Health at 780-538-5162. It will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 3rd.
