35 arrests and 75 warrants executed was the final tally after a 5 day RCMP warrant round up in our city.
Members from around western Alberta converged on Grande Prairie late last week to help local police track down individuals with significant outstanding fines and warrants out for missed court dates.
Police say they were able to collect on a large number of those outstanding fines, and more importantly track down individuals accused of serious criminal code offences.
RCMP say they also executed a Canada Wide Warrant for a person unlawfully at large during the blitz.
