The renewed federal Gas Tax Fund Agreement means $2.27 billion for infrastructure projects in Alberta municipalities over the next ten years.
This year, $208 million was made available for local projects, including 3-million earmarked for Grande Prairie.
Premier Jim Prentice argues the fund gives communities funding that’s flexible so they can address their own unique needs.
That can be everything from public transit and airports to roads and tourism.
